June lupine blooms

Cocoon Juneau in hues

Of lavender and blue,

Cormorant and loon attune 

To the swoon of spring – 

None are immune.

Breezes float softly like balloons

Under the loom of moon 

In full bloom.

Soon strewn throughout, 

Lupine seeds commune

Leaving clues to ruminate

On what once grew underlovers’ rune.
